Araña Taqueria y Cantina features authentic Mexican cuisine inspired by the culinary traditions of the Yucatan—with a unique twist. Inspired by Executive Chef Richard Papier, a New Orleans-native trained in authentic Mexican cuisine, the restaurant’s menu features a variety of flavorful dishes using fresh ingredients including Queso Fundio, daily tamale specials, tacos, Tortas and Yucatan-inspired entrees. All pork, beef, chicken and duck used in Araña’s dishes are slow-braised and cooked in banana leaves— a popular Mexican cooking technique.
The restaurant’s cocktail menu includes traditional palomas and margaritas, made with fresh-squeezed lime juice, along with red and white sangrias and a variety of aguas frescas. Additional unique drinks to Mexico include drunken horchatas, Mexico’s Day of the Dead craft beer line, and Mezcal and tequila flights.
